What kinds of buildings would I be working in?
Data centers, commercial buildings, healthcare, manufacturing and industrial spaces, etc.
What's the on-call schedule like?
We use a rotating on-call schedule to keep things fair and manageable. When emergencies come up, you won’t be on your own. We’ve got solid support in place to help you handle it. ColonialWebb makes a real effort to protect work-life balance, so you’re not constantly on the hook.
What's the van and tool setup like?
You’ll get a take-home van stocked with the essentials to get the job done right, including all the PPE for safe working. We make sure our techs have clean, reliable vehicles and the tools they need. If something is missing, broken, or outdated, we’ll help you get what you need. You’ll also be issued a tablet and uniforms, including branded shirts and work pants, so you’re set up and ready to roll from day one.
How is work assigned? Do I get dispatched from home or the office?
You’ll be dispatched from our system and can head straight to the jobsite each morning. No need to report to the shop unless you’re picking up parts or materials. That means less windshield time, more efficiency, and a smoother start to your day. We trust our techs to work independently and keep things moving without unnecessary check-ins.
What types of systems would I be working on?
Rooftop Units, Split Systems, Hydronic Systems (Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Pumps), Computer Room Units, Controls, etc.
Is there opportunity for growth or specialization?
Absolutely. If you want to grow, we’ll help you get there. Many of our techs have moved into BAS, commissioning, supervisor roles, or become go-to experts in specialized systems. Interested in estimating or sales? We can support that too. Your path doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
What kind of support do service techs get in the field?
You’ll have access to experienced supervisors, dispatch, and technical resources, like our FIXX center. You will never feel like you’re on an island.
